J. Aaron Farr 馮桀仁
Bio
Aaron is an entrepreneur, open source hacker, and sojourner in China. In 2006 he founded JadeTower with William Taysom as a boutique software consultancy. They are the developers of Kanchoo amongst others. He is best known for his contributions to the Apache Software Foundation, a non-profit providing open source software to the public. He has served on the Board of Directors, as treasurer, VP of Apache Avalon and VP of Apache Excalibur. His professional background includes enterprise software development for Global 500 companies including Sony Electronics and Siemens.
Aaron recently relocated to Santa Monica, CA to start a new venture. He and his family previously lived in Asia. You can still occasionally find him in Greater China organizing BarCamp, Ruby on Rails events, or working with the Hong Kong Startup Association.
