Cubicle Muses is the official blog of The JadeTower Corporation, a software startup, written and designed by the founders – J Aaron Farr and William Taysom.
All of the above though usually the first. Aaron is a board member of the open source Apache Software Foundation and has developed J2EE and Eclipse RCP applications for Global 100 companies including Siemens and Sony Electronics. When not developing open source or commerical software, Aaron enjoys adventures with his lovely wife, Jenny, and their young daughter Maeli in China. Aaron can be reached at farra [at] apache [dot] org or via GTalk or Skype.
William Taysom is co-founder of JadeTower and previously a Research Associate at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, ihmc. The Institute puts your tax dollars to good use by building robots, teaching computers to understand English, and a number of other equally useful things. As a research associate, William makes GUIs so that other people don’t have to. For him this work is an excellent source of test cases for his long term aspiration: to make a graphical environment that is simple, beautiful, and powerful. Expect version 0.1 sometime around 2010. By way of background, William has a Bachelors in Math and a Masters in Philosophy. He lives in Hong Kong. Drop by anytime.
