Moons of Jupiter

Last night I saw one of the moons of Jupiter.

I’ve always loved astronomy, but Pittsburgh’s cloudy skies has severely limited it as a hobby of mine. However, the place where I stay near Philly half of each week not only has more clear skies but almost no light pollution. This week I finally had a set of binoculars with me (thanks to my grandfather) and using Stellarium was able to enjoy some stargazing. Jupiter was in clear view and after several minutes I noticed a small pinpoint of light that was one of the gas giant’s moons. A simple thing, but really amazing to me at the same time.
