OSSummit 2007 is now OSSummit 2008

OSSummit Asia, Apache and Eclipse’s joint open source conference in Hong Kong this month, will now be held in 2008. As this is a very recent change, we’re still trying to determine the new dates and will publish that information as quickly as possible. All the speakers and sponsors and attendees have been notified and the response has been very supportive and understanding.

This was, of course, a difficult decision for the conference producers and planners. However, we want to do the event right and create a quality experience for all involved. To do that, we simply need more time to improve registation, sponsorship and marketing of the event. So now we’re learning from 2007 and looking forward to a great conference in 2008. I still hope you’ll join us.

If you happen to end up coming to Hong Kong this month anyway, let me know. Not only can I give you some ideas of things to do here in the city, but we could perhaps put together some less formal get-togethers in lieu of the conference.

Oh, and it’s still not to late to decide to go to ApacheCon US in Atlanta next week!
