Wikimania 2007

Wikimani 2007 started today in Taipei, Taiwan. I’m not giving any talks, just enjoying the conference and a chance to be in Taiwan again. Yesterday I attended the “Hacking Days Extra” which was intended as a sort of mediawiki hackathon, but I don’t think much code got written. I ended up providing some poor translation for two programmers showing off some open source code based on the Processing graphics language. This morning I attended an interesting panel on the semantic web and wikipedia. I’ll try to find time to comment on that more later.
