MacBook Icon Candy (Part 10: Custom Icons)

I use CandyBar to customize my system and application icons. Today, I share some links to my favorite icon sets.

  • Bouquet — I like to use these to replace icons for apps that ugly boxy-screens. In particular:
    • System Preferences: tiny_orange
    • Activity Monitor: amaryllis
    • Terminal: black_lotus
  • Pirates — Everyone loves pirates. I use several of these:
    • Skype: Pirates! — A pirate ship.
    • TextMate: Letter of Marque — Has the proper outline to serve as a good replacement.
    • Main Volume: Treasure Chest
  • Samurai Set Vol. II — Not ninjas but close enough. I especially like the iApp icons for Mail, Preview, and TextEdit.
  • Abstract Aqua look good for any OS X use.
  • Doctor Who — Everyone should have a TARDIS icon.
  • Oldies Collection — I especially like the potted plant.
  • Grammophon — Good for iTunes.
  • Top Hat — Nice or my home directory.
