Recipe for a Personal WebSite

1. A weblog (such as MovableType) 2. A wiki (such as MoinMoin) 3. A gallery (such as Gallery)

I know there are lots of other more or less fancy systems out there, but this combination has worked well for me. I used to use my wiki a lot more, but it’s still nice to have for quick documentation and articles. The other advantage of this setup is that all of the website components can be updated via webapps—no need to access the server via ftp or ssh. Though it might be nice to create an integrated package that included all three components (blog, wiki, gallery) yet retained their simplicity.
